Our dad passed away last night. He was the smartest, kindest person we ever knew, and our role model for life. Cherie Mac and I will miss him terribly. Please keep he and my mom in your prayers.

I'm really sorry to hear about your dad passing. I have been reading the blog you guys started and am glad to know more about my future children's great grandfather. He sounds like quite a guy and I am glad to be able to get to know him - even if it is a little late. Thanks for introducing us to who he was.
I never really got to know him, but he did give me some advice when he found out I was marrying his granddaughter. "Just do what she says." is what he told me. I try, most of the time.
Hang in there and continue to share your memories of him, because that's the only way some of us will ever know him.
