Racer 5

I brewed for the first time in over 4 months yesterday.

Okay, I'm going to get back on the brew once per month track.

I created a nice Racer 5 clone. It is happily fermenting as I speak. I used 14 lbs of grain with Cascade and Chinook hops for the brew, to be followed by dry hopping with Columbus, Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo. Wow, a northwest taste bud extravaganza! I'm so excited. Stay tuned for sampling details in about 3 weeks.

Until then...cheers.

FP Brewer, I brewed this weekend for the first time in 8 months. I did 10 gallons of the Mirror Pond Pale Ale. I've brewed it about 4 times before and it's one of my favorites.

Have you done the Racer 5 before? Can you share the recipe? Can you email it to me?

Mirror Pond is top 10 brew material. Great choice!
Here's the link for the recipe for the Racer 5 (my first attempt):

You'll find it difficult to find Tomohawk; apparently another name for Columbus!
We need to figure out how to sample one another's brews. Any chance you can make it to the NHC in Oakland in June (Andy and I are paid and going).

Yeah, I found a site that said that Tomahawk was the same as Columbus so that's what I used. Wow, that Racer 5 isn't a cheap beer to brew, huh?

I won't be able to make it out to Oakland, I've got too much going on in June, sorry. You're right about finding out how to sample each other's brews...how about UPS?
